I am so jealous that I can’t even think about what this may mean for her full time school years. My children are up by 7 no matter when they went to bed. I say enjoy it!

Well, if you’re not suffering as a result, I wouldn’t worry. Once Fern starts whole-day school you’ll have to get her up early, and she will switcheroo her sleeping times to suit.

@jerseygirl89 - Everyone's jealous of what they haven't got, I guess. (I used to want Michael J. Fox's straight hair. I even took a picture of him to a barber, who said between guffaws that it would take a steamroller to make my curly mop like his. I was 15 and never went to a barber again.) Fern slept 12 hours solid last night. 10 pm to 10 am. Yipes.

@Nan - You make it sound so easy, like "Once you get the hippopotamus out on the ice rink, it will have to using the massive skates you fitted it with." Actually, the hippo would probably be easier than getting Fern up by 7.
