The six weeks after the end of daylight savings time and before the days start getting longer are usually my least favorite of the year, punctuated only by my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving.
And that more than anything is why I’m excited that new daughter’s birthday is going to be at this time of year.

That’s very exciting. Our(Canadian) Thanks Giving is before daylight savings, and our dark hours are probably a bit longer too.

Bloody hell, but if you have a third before we get one I’ll not be best pleased…
@orlund – Yeah, we have extended those light hours quite a bit. Some people think that’s what’s causing global warming…
@Xbox4NappyRash – Yep, getting there. No worries on number three, though — *someone* (don’t know who yet) is getting tubes tied before there will be any more extracurricular activity.
