Hahahahaha! And I thought I was the only one who does this – sing absurd made-up lyrics to popular (and not so popular) tunes to put my babies to sleep. Their all-time favorite is sang to the tune of Moon River, and I won’t post the lyrics here – all too embarrassing.

I love that!

We like to sing Gershwin (“Our Love is Here to Stay”, “Someone to Watch Over Me”), Fields/Kern (“The Way You Look Tonight”), and also the Star Wars song a la Bill Murray on Saturday Night Live. I do edit the lyrics a bit for the Star Wars one, and Jack, in particular, loves the fact that the theme song has actual words (which it really doesn’t. But he is none the wiser).

And, I have to say, I love it when I hear Liv singing Gershwin. Makes a mom proud! *sniff*
