New ballet skirt!

In honor of Freedom to Marry week (details here), here’s something new: Boobaby got a ballet skirt for her birthday! Fittingly, she learned ballet on a Sesame Street podcast from Ellen DeGeneres (regular link / iTunes link), one of many supporters of the Freedom to Marry cause.
For completeness, I have to point out that Boo picked out this entire outfit. She’s got on: turquoise shirt, black yoga pants, pink corduroy dress, one blue-on-yellow sock, one yellow-on-blue sock, and water shoes. Oh, and the skirt.

How cute! She already has her own sense of style. Lil’ Bum is getting more into picking out her own clothes and I try to let her personality show. Even if sometimes I don’t quite like the outfit.

Aw, thanks! I LOVE it when she picks out her own outfit, although sadly it means that it takes us 45 minutes to get dressed (and clean up the aftermath). Usually these days it’s a happy medium — I give her two or three choices per item…
