You're still in SF--on Twin Peaks, I assume? Don't worry about it. Coolness still surrounds you.

I'll tell you, I was tremendously anxious when we moved (still childless) from the bottom of the Mission to a very high hill in Noe Valley...I thought we were doomed to boredom. It took over two years, but we settled in to Noe Valley and now we really identify with the place and have built a solid community around ourselves. I also lost serious weight going up and down the hill with Liko on my back, which I kind of needed to do. I know...two years is a long time. Boobaby will be in college by then. But you're there, make the best of it.

I grew up out in the country and moved to the city to go to college. There are pros and cons to each environment, but I think it is really what you make of it! I would love to move back out to the country to be able to spend my time enjoying life and my family instead of waiting in traffic. ;) IMO, sometimes convenience of having things close to you isn't always what it is cracked up to be...
