So Tired: I thought sex changes were harder than this

Posted on November 25th, 2007 in family, travel

Maybe it’s just because I’m exhausted from travel, but I find hyperlinks like this one (from my Netflix account) to be hilarious:

I have no excuse to be so tired, because with only one exception — the parking bus driver driving off with our suitcase and portable crib still on the curb — our holiday travel was unblemished. Practically speaking, the five-day trip to L.A. was a breeze.

Mentally, though? Being around my family can just suck the life out of me sometimes. My goal for today was supposed to be sanding and priming our gross old kitchen cabinets. Now, I’ll be satisfied just to rest and recover some sense of normalcy — and maybe remember what it is I love about my family.

I’m sure there was something.

  1. Sometimes it’s that they don’t live next door. Sometimes that is enough.
