Jacques-Yves Cousteau: Thank You XXIII

by doodaddy on November 23, 2007

Here’s another hero discovered in my tender years who guided my later career choices. Reading his books of adventures undersea, accompanied by the requisite pictures of hairy French men lounging shirtless on the deck of a boat after a day’s diving, somehow resonated with me, and I just there decided I wanted to be a marine biologist, or at least a pretend marine biologist who explores to enlighten rather than to research.

So, for telling me all about the sea and how it can be best enjoyed from a boat stocked with plenty of red wine,

Thanks, Jacques-Yves Cousteau!
