Present at the Birth of a Toddler’s Fake Smile

Fake Smile

I’ve heard real smiles come back by age 25 or so.

Remember those innocent days of authentic goofy smiles? Now, if I say “smile!” and I have a camera in my hand, this is what I get.

So. Bloody. Fake.

Maybe she can make kissy face at the camera – shes almost there in this shot 🙂

I *hate* those fake smiles!

But she still manages to look adorable.

That seems to be the only smile I get now from my 3 year old as soon as the camera comes out. It’s as if he are trying to sabotage my Kodak moment efforts!

@Potty Training Toddler – Candids are the way to go. Sadly, that means that fully two-thirds of my shots are of the back of Boo’s head.
