Makeover Monday MyPod

Posted on June 26th, 2007 in goals, moving

Last week, I promised two things:

  1. Makeover Monday would be published on Monday
  2. I would pursue brevity: keep my posts under a 150 word limit.

Two strikes!

It’s not Monday. My blog entries were long. I have failed in every way.

Every last gigabyte is filled up

When failure nips at your heels, change your shoes. By fiat, I declare that last week’s goal is replaced with this:

I will pack the storage pod.

We rented one of those Door-to-Door things, you see, in an effort to offload a ton (literally) of our crap so the house can be “staged” for sale while we’re still living here.

Naturally, my reason for choosing this goal is that I’ve already succeeded, as you can see from the picture. Score one more for Doodaddy!

Sadly, we’ve now come to the place where I have to invent a new goal for next week. We’re traveling to St. Paul for Independence Day with a set of grandparents, so I’ll go easy on myself. This week, I will:

Find a way to write and publish my 17th successive Dear Boobaby letter on July 3rd, despite staying at my in-laws somewhat tech-backward house.

I’m looking forward to it!

  1. Heh. Brevity is not my strong suit either. But, I like long blog posts. As long as they are interesting. And you are.

  2. Wow, now that is what I would call packed. Great job! I feel your pain and am getting tired of this packing and staging nonsense myself.

Good luck on your goal. How do these people without modern technology get through their days?
