in sleep, stay-at-home guilt

Most mornings, Boobaby wakes up at 9 or 9:30. There, I’ve said it.

I’m certain that you hate me now, that you want to disown me as a parent or discount every complaint I’ve ever made. Someday I’ll blog that…

“Boy, I had a hard day today.”

And you’ll reply

“Oh, c’mon. Your baby gets up at 9:30! What could possibly be so bad? Wimp.”

And you’d be right.

Oh, and by the way, she usually naps for two and a half or three hours.

So… I get to sleep in and then I get a chunk of time in the middle of the day to get things done.

But, before I lose all sympathy (or whatever’s left), don’t forget that since we’re weaning, and since Boobaby demands the boob when Working Mom goes in, every single nighttime awakening is the sole responsibility of me and my iPod.

Does that win me back any parental-hardship points?

No, I didn’t think so.
