I’m a bit goofier than the dads they’re used to. But this is a pretty big issue for me, so I’m sure I’ll revisit it! I’ve been on the side of wanting to <i>give</i> advice, too, but I’m really, really careful. I honestly believe there’s no “best” way that works for everyone – just about the only thing I’ll ever recommend is that people try different things if something’s not working. Dd. I personally think that moms give out advice because they are so insecure about their parenting that they just want someone to say, Hey, Good idea. Or, Wow, I never thought of that.
