Pre-pre-pre-adolescent rebellion: Clubbing baby seals

by doodaddy on March 20, 2007

Boobaby’s teething, so I gave her a chew toy today that looks like a seal with those chillable gel-filled flippers. (As you may remember, I worked for a while at a hospital for injured seals; this was a shower present from my coworkers.)

So what does Boo do? Picks up her brush and starts

Clubbing. The. Baby. Seal.

She wouldn’t stop, either, for like 20 minutes, this from a one-year old whose attention span is usually measured in seconds.

Figures, I suppose. Every child wants to individuate eventually. I take care of baby seals, so she wants to club ’em.

But at thirteen months — bit early, no?

I wonder what sort of Google hits I’m going to start getting with a post title like that!

Maybe Declan can use his charity money to save the stuffed soother baby seals.
